History:  Phosphorus was dicovered in 1669 by Henning Brand.

Origin Name: It comes form the Greek word "phosphoros"

which means light bearing.

Physical Properties: It has the colors  of white, red, black, and

violet. The most common one is the waxy white. The white is colorless and

transparent when it is pure.
